It is really interesting for a real estate agent to be present on social networks. In fact, not using them could even play against him/her. As new digital tools for contact, social networks present many advantages if used properly.
First of all, it is very important to distinguish your personal and professional use of social networks and to avoid mixing them up. Your personal social networks, which you use daily, allow you to share and communicate with people close to you naturally and intuitively. On the other hand, to communicate with your network, your customers and your colleagues, it is essential to create dedicated profiles on social networks, which you will devote entirely to your professional activity.
Professional social networks enable the real estate agent to go beyond the usual establishing of contacts to develop his/her business. This makes it possible to create a link with Internet users but also to publish content about properties for sale, properties sold, the real estate agent's team, his/her achievements or articles and infographics related to real estate and which support his/her activity. There are different social networks on which the real estate agent may be present but they will each have different uses:
The social network allows you to communicate to a wide audience, to share and easily create contact with people. This social network is ideal for distributing content to your target throughout the day and to interact with them in comments or by private message to facilitate the appointment process.
It's the ultimate aspirational network. On Instagram, the goal is to show your community the many facets of your profession and why you love it. Publish pretty pictures and short explanatory texts to make them want to find out more and encourage them to contact you or visit your agency.
Conversely, is a professional social network. It will allow you to communicate with your fellow real estate agents, exchange tips and advice but will be less dedicated to prospecting, as your target is not at all or only slightly present on this platform.
Social networks have become an essential communication tool, both at the personal as well as professional level. Using them wisely can be an asset to real estate agents who will be able to enrich their network of contacts and communicate less formally with their existing and potential customers.
